GET CREATIVE WITH RAMADAN LANTERNS

Be inspired by the Egyptian Ramadan tradition of fanoos. During Ramadan add lanterns to table tops or bookshelfs. Place in large window sills or hang from arches in your home.  Ramadan lanterns can be purchased online but you can also make your own by picking up a more elaborate candle holder or camp lantern . Keep the original color or  paint it in a bold gold, blue, green or purple to get the look below.  For metal surfaces use a direct-to-metal spray paint or an exterior latex paint. Slick metal surfaces may need a primer and several thin coats.
